Cloud developer

The cloud developer supports DevOps teams with automation through CI/CD pipelines and provides knowledge in the ‘Infrastructure As Code’ area. They do this by temporarily joining DevOps teams or supporting these teams on demand.

Training and education

A cloud developer meets the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree

  • Cloud solution architect certified (Azure/AWS)

  • Cloud governance & multi-cloud-native architecture training

  • Microsoft training (AZ-204, AZ-400)

Important skills and knowledge

A cloud developer:

  • Has in-depth knowledge of different cloud concepts and closely follows the development of cloud technology – for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

  • Has hands-on knowledge of DevOps

  • Has knowledge of and extensive experience with building solutions using cloud-native services

  • Has experience with automated CI/CD pipelines

  • Has extensive scripting and programming skills (cloud-native tools)
