About the RASCI model
When working with our framework, it is crucial that all stakeholders within your organisation know who is responsible for each building block, and which people should be informed or consulted.
This is why every building block page includes a RASCI model, which stands for:
Responsible, Accountable, Support, Consult and Informed
The RASCI model is a great way to identify roles and responsibilities per building block and makes sure that all people involved know what to do and whom to talk to if they have questions. Below, we talk you through the RASCI roles and provide you with a brief overview of the people within your organisation that should be involved.

The RASCI model roles
Those who do the work to achieve the task. There is typically one role with a participation type of Responsible, although others can be delegated to assist in the work required.
The one who is ultimately answerable for the correct and thorough completion of the deliverable or task. The one who ensures the prerequisites of the task are met and who delegates the work to those responsible.
Resources allocated to responsible. Unlike Consulted, who may provide input to the task, support helps complete the task.
Those whose opinions are sought. Typically subject-matter experts, with whom there is two-way communication.
Those who are kept up-to-date on progress, often only on completion of the task or deliverable. There is just one-way communication.
